The Region of Waterloo, in collaboration with cities and townships and the Waterloo Economic Development Corporation (WaterlooEDC), conducted the fifth region-wide survey of over 11,000 local businesses, in May through August 2024. The survey serves as a vital tool in shaping the Waterloo Region's economic future and supporting the business community.
Essential data from diverse workplaces was collected across the region’s seven cities and townships. Not readily available through census data, the information shared by the local business community is critical to understanding the various sectors and employment patterns, as well as essential insights into the region's economy.
The gathered insights play an important role in guiding regional development strategies and supporting the needs of local business owners.
